Day 7 of #30dayscomics
I had drawn the outlines of today’s comic when a thought suddenly struck: “Isn’t this a complete ripoff of Franquin‘s Idées Noires?!” It took me a good half hour to ascertain that no, my idea had not been deemed black enough by the master to be included in his work — my standards, however, are just low enough that I’m happy to present it here:
But seriously, if you do not know of Franquin’s comics, there is only one remedy.
Day 6 of #30dayscomics
Not going to say much about this, other than there’s a concept to it, and I’ll leave it to yourself to figure it out. It’s encrypted (poorly) in the title, but let me know in the comments if you need help!

Day 5 of #30dayscomics
As you’ll see in the title I got the Twitter hashtag wrong in previous entries. But if you got here from Twitter, go back and check the previous comics!
With this comics I wanted to have some kind of straight, character-driven story. Sure, the character doesn’t move during the 4 panels but that’s the beauty of it!
I’ll be back tomorrow with some obscure, non-narrative abstractions!

A warm-up for #30daysofcomics
I signed up for @madinkbeard ‘s 30 days of comics exercise, meaning I will be posting a 1-2 page comic every day through November. This weekend I got a head start doing a bunch of observational drawings in the vein of my Mix Tape publication, and I bragged on Twitter that I’d scan & post them today.
Alas, I’m still teaching at the Holbæk School of Arts, and I can’t figure out their MAC scanning computer. It’s an advanced setup where you apparently don’t need a mouse (or somebody stole it). So I snapped a few shots with my phone camera instead:
And for the next one, my apologies for never getting my girlfriend’s face right. She’s much cuter in person!
