…I salute you

Going through my backups from the olden days, I came upon a couple of drawings I made on the passing of two old masters of comics, Will Eisner and Alex Toth:

I’m not sure they have made it through the intermittent site makeovers, so here they are for posterity!

X-files fan art

X-files fan artI’ve been rewatching a load of X-files lately, a tv show that warped my mind when I first watched it as a teenager. It’s a bit surprising how well it holds up now, more than 15 years *GULP!* later, and even with the flaws and inconsistencies that shows with age (and watching long stretches of a storyline intended to be consumed in weekly doses) the series is as engaging and thrilling as back then.

I wanted to show a bit of appreciation with a little drawing of Mulder and Scully, and even if the colours took longer than intended, I kind of liked the result. Let’s call it a work in progress bever the less, I’d like to work a big ass X  into the background :)

If time allows I’ll be drawing tributes to old favourites in the coming weeks. Hmm, did Ash have that chainsaw mounted on his left or right hand?

Oh yeah, and if anybody are interested, I do commissions too. This drawing is made in Manga Studio, so there’s no original, but I work analog as well. Mail me!
